About Me

My photo
PaulaMc
I am a retired full professor and education librarian, having worked at Oregon State for 9 years and at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas for 4. Once upon a time I was a psychologist and had a wonderful opportunity to combine my training and experience in a 12-year research collaboration with former colleague and counselor educator, Dr. Dale Pehrsson. We also co-founded the Bibliotherapy Education Project. As an academic librarian, I presented at conferences and published journal articles; peer reviewed article transcripts for several professional journals; taught students how to successfully find and evaluate information; and read and reviewed almost 1,000 children's, young adult, and professional books for the Children's Literature database. In retirement, I do editing for doctoral students, volunteer, make and sell jewelry, and enjoy the great outdoors in Bend, Oregon.
